The church has completed the purchase of what was previously the pub “The Hop and Vine”. Just a stones throw from the ancient church of Holy Trinity, the pub will become our new church centre and cafe. In the heart of the town, our vision is that the cafe will become a community hub for meeting, sharing and hearing about Jesus Christ.
We don’t have a new name yet for the building, but what has gone before seems important. Before it was the Hop(e) and Vine- it was named The Sun. Now our church family want to use it to reach out to the people of St Austell, to offer the hope of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
Plans are being prepared, and the church family will be approached to fund the proposed works in the coming months. In addition our position in the historic heart of the town, has seen us encouraged by a number of funding bodies making approaches wishing to work in partnership towards the vision of the regeneration of our wonderful town.
